A letter from Tracy: The Source of our Resources!

CSM tagline is “connecting resources with needs,” which is a statement I believe the Lord gave me many years ago. However, I have come to ask for resources, and thousands have received from us what the Lord has provided. I want to set the course for the future so those who follow will understand how we determine God’s way. Isaiah 55:3 says, “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life.” I am in the word every day to seek the will and ways of the Lord. Alone, I don’t know how to get the resources that have come our way in the last 12 years.

On April 25, 2011, two days before 62 tornadoes hit Alabama, I prayed for God to fill this house (CSM) for His glory and honor. The verse that rang clearly in my ears was 1 Thessalonians 5:24, “He who calls you is faithful; he will do it.”  I came to my office and began praying for God to do only what He could. That is now 11 years and a few months ago. God has been faithful.

As I read this morning, Isaiah 55:1 says, “Come everyone who is thirsty, come to the water.” So I come to him early, ready for my thirst to be quenched and satisfied with the direction for the day. Every day before the sun rises, I enter God’s presence because He is the Source of our resources. He has the purpose and plan, and I am a resource of the Maker and Creator of the universe.

Therefore, I begin each day by getting close to the Source of all the resources so that I have what I need. He receives the glory for the resources He brings. I get my soul filled with the greatest Source – God, through His word, guided by his Spirit.

Isaiah 55:8 says, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the Lord, and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” Then, I come before the Lord daily because I need Him each day. On my own, I can do nothing. I am not a visionary. God writes the Kingdom vision, and I am a part of a grand plan and a fantastic story He writes.

God is the Source of all the resources, so daily, God guides me. I pause and listen for the thoughts the Lord puts into my heart and mind as the day begins to honor and glorify Him daily. Each day He is the Source for all the millions of dollars of resources He brings to us. There are thousands of people in need that we seek to reach and touch through the local churches. What a magnificent honor to serve God this way!!

In the last 12 years at CSM and throughout my 40 years in ministry, I have sought the Lord. Well, I find the Lord when I seek him daily. I come thirsty every day for the Source of all the resources of life and ministry. “Connecting resources with needs” is a line we use and have written in many places, but the truth we live every day is “God is our source to connect all the resources God brings into this place with the one true Source.”

Isaiah 55:9 says, “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”  Today, I have spent time with the Source of our resources, and we welcome you to come and be a part of His grand story at CSM.
