CSM’s vision is to build relational partnerships to help communities thrive by connecting resources with needs. We believe God has formed our vision through His Word, and we particularly feel the call of John 13:34, “I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.”
CSM has been around for 54 years, but our vision changed 14 years ago. You, our friends and co-laborers, are crucial in this transformation. As believers in Christ, we must work together to fulfill His commandments. This is not our mission alone but God’s, as we can see clearly in Scripture.
We are here to provide support to the Church. Our mission is to build strong relationships with ministry partners to help them achieve the vision that God has bestowed upon them. Our partners are doing exceptional work by serving their communities through various programs, projects, and events. We are committed to playing our part in fulfilling God’s commandment to love one another. Our community partners are working towards empowering Birmingham’s underserved and marginalized people. We aim to support ministries living obediently to Christ’s example and proclaiming His name. We recognize that there are many needs in Birmingham, and we want to serve our ministry partners and volunteers by helping them discern where they fit in fulfilling God’s commandment to love one another.
CSM believes in building strong relationships and multiplying our impact for future generations. Our resources are a means to promote peace and harmony within our community. We work hand in hand with pastors and leaders to create a community based on intentional relationships and community efforts. Our goal is to go beyond temporary projects and focus on molding the hearts and minds of our community members to be more Christlike. Our efforts, relationships, and tools are all centered around spreading the Gospel. We are committed to building strong partnerships that will have a lasting and eternal impact on our community.
“We strongly desire to see our communities thrive and flourish with the presence of the Lord. We hope they will thrive in relationships that transcend all divisions and boundaries and that the Holy Spirit will build unity in our city. We pray that they will thrive through partnerships that are not competitive but rather unified in their efforts and work. We want our city to be filled with a genuine display of love for one another, inspired by the love that God has given us. We hope that our communities will thrive in promoting justice and making things right for all people, recognizing that every person is created in the image and likeness of God. We hope our communities will thrive in becoming ambassadors for Christ in every corner of our city. In summary, we pray that Birmingham will thrive in oneness, godliness, and holiness.”
We are committed to investing in communities to help them flourish in Christ both in 2024 and in the years ahead. We invite you to join us on this God-ordained journey.
“As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples.” – John 13:34-35
Hey Bro. Tracy,
I was reading your letter and when I saw the 14 years, it brought back memories of when you first assumed your role at CSM. I remember you allowing us (Charity In Action) to use space for our meetings. Brother, it’s good to see you still working for the LORD.
