Have you ever wondered where our resources originate? A few years ago, God blessed us with a way to receive new resources in a variety of categories: bedding, electronics, beauty, housewares, hygiene, school supplies, etc. These resources are even more remarkable because they are brand new! This particular abundance came through a partnership with Good360, which exists to help for-profit businesses maximize their impact when faced with excess goods. Our collaboration with Good360 has linked us with various large corporations whose extra resources we can connect with needs in our communities! These items have allowed us to significantly expand our distributions for holidays and Back to Schools and our ability to meet more specific needs. Last year we distributed $2,780,172 worth of resources from this partnership, and that was just at Christmas!
CSM is now one of Good360’s largest partners in terms of donation capacity, and we’re thankful for the Lord’s hand of provision over our work which has allowed this partnership to flourish. If you’ve made the trip to our campus, chances are you have seen pallets of boxes waiting to be sorted. When these resources come in, they are in boxes filled with various goods that need to be manually sorted into categories so we can distribute them when needs arise. We’re constantly in awe at our fantastic volunteers and their willingness to sort these donations, with many coming weekly! They truly exemplify the love of Christ, and their servant-hearted spirits are so encouraging to us. When we think of the responsibility that God has entrusted us with, we are humbled at the way he equips us with exactly what we need at the right time – whether it be resources, partners, or volunteers.
