Matthew 6:33 states, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” This powerful verse is a cornerstone of faith, guiding believers to prioritize God above all else. In a world filled with distractions and worries, Jesus reminds us that when we put God’s kingdom first, everything else falls into place.
The Big K: God’s Kingdom Agenda
At Christian Service Mission, we are committed to working with the church—the local church—as the mechanism through which we serve. Often, in non-profit and faith-based circles, we hear references to the “Big C Church.” However, Scripture does not explicitly mention the “Big C Church.” What we do find in Scripture is the “Big K”—God’s Kingdom. He has a kingdom agenda, a kingdom strategy, and He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Our work is for the King and His kingdom.
The Local Church as God’s Strategy
The local church is God’s chosen strategy for this time and age. It is through the local church that we help equip believers, walk alongside pastors, and support them in fulfilling their vision for their communities. The local church is designed to make an impact on the world, and our role is to come alongside it to strengthen and empower its mission.
Looking Ahead: A Kingdom-Driven Mission
As we move forward into 2025 and beyond, Christian Service Mission is committed to partnering regularly with local churches. Our strategy is centered on the “Big K”—advancing God’s kingdom. Our agenda is a kingdom agenda: to impact the world, see people come to Christ, grow in their faith, and be equipped for His work. We will actively collaborate with local churches to fulfill the Great Commission and make a lasting impact for Jesus Christ.
Conclusion
Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek God’s kingdom above all else. At Christian Service Mission, our focus remains on working through the local church to bring about kingdom transformation. By embracing God’s kingdom strategy, we strive to see lives changed, communities impacted, and the Gospel spread to the ends of the earth.
