Together as One, Birmingham showed the love of Jesus this Thanksgiving.

This Thanksgiving, churches and volunteers across Birmingham joined together to serve 5,000 families with dignity and hope. Through the support of our partners and volunteers, including special help from Regenerate Society, CSM distributed 177,800 pounds of food and resourced 37 partner churches with everything needed for a full Thanksgiving meal.

At CSM, Thanksgiving matters because everything we have is a tool for the Gospel. While this season lets us give out a significant amount of food, our heart isn’t in the numbers, it’s in the relationships. We want the love of Jesus to drive us toward our neighbors, especially in moments of need.

This year, several partners intentionally slowed down distribution to build deeper, more intentional relationships with the families they serve. These Gospel-rooted connections help individuals and families thrive through their local church by create lasting transformation.

As Love Fellowship Christian Center beautifully said:

When we unite to serve as the hands and feet of Christ on Earth, the influence in the community for the kingdom of God manifests.

We couldn’t agree more.

Thank you for your generosity, your service, and your partnership. Together as One, we are restoring Birmingham, one story at a time.
