This summer, we have two interns, Samuel Rodriguez and Zoe Latham. They have been an absolute delight, and we are thrilled to have been able to host them for two months! Jacquie Nash is our Intern Coordinator and Junior Board President. Please continue reading below to get to know our summer crew!
Samuel is a Samford University student who dreams of going into animation and using it as an artistic medium for sharing the Gospel. He has a heart for ministry and has even used our space to host a time of prayer and worship for some students in the morning. His vibrant spirit lights up all the spaces he walks into and has been such a gift, particularly at our construction sites. Samuel is a faithful member of his church, Casa de Adoracion, serving as a youth group leader.
Zoe is a student at Clemson University and spent a spring break trip to Birmingham, serving at CSM with her college ministry. After that trip, Zoe applied for a summer internship and has been such an invaluable asset! She has the sweetest spirit and is exceptionally innovative. She has been helping us troubleshoot some of our systems, using her engineering education, and has been a gift to us by bettering our processes! Zoe is a faithful member of her church, and even as she’s been in Birmingham, she has faithfully attended the church where her host family attends.
Jacquie is a teacher in Birmingham who filled the Intern Coordinator position last year. She is always such a helpful, kind presence, and we are so glad she is around all year round, serving on our junior board! Jacquie is a significant asset to CSM. She is so generous with her time, has served throughout the city in many ways, and is a faithful member of her church, Redeemer Community.
