Partnering with others to Give a New Car!

Throughout February and March, several individuals came together to raise money, aware that a local schoolteacher needed a new car. They wanted to give this teacher a new car without her knowing who gave it to her. To remain anonymous, they coordinated their giving to CSM so that we could purchase the vehicle and give it to her. It was a pleasure for us to bless this woman and her family with a new ride! We did not want her to know that she was receiving a car. To surprise her, we told her she needed to come to our warehouse to pick up a donated gift, but as a hint, we let her know that she needed someone to drive her! Imagine her surprise and joy when she came to the warehouse that day! On top of the car contributions, the donors gave additional funding to cover added car expenses! This teacher was loved well by those who wanted to care for her. The gift blessed us, too, as we facilitated the giving of it! Matthew 6:3-4 (MSG) says, “When you help someone out, don’t think about how it looks. Just do it—quietly and unobtrusively. That is the way your God, who conceived you in love, working behind the scenes, helps you out.”
