Establishing lasting relationships with the Body of Christ throughout Birmingham is the heartbeat of the Christian Service Mission, and the connection with Tadera White and For-Word Christian Center has blessed us incredibly.
It all began with God promising Pastor White a grocery store in the Ensley area; through Pastor White’s obedience, God transformed this grocery store into a gathering place for His people! Tracy Hipps and Pastor White have been sharing their hearts and visions for a little over a year and a half now. Pastor White claims that “the best thing about partnering with CSM is the genuine love of Jesus Christ that is shown here.” In his 25 years of serving in ministry, Pastor White claims that God has highlighted this connection as “the greatest connection that I have been blessed to make.”
We have had the privilege of connecting volunteers with the process of renovating what was once a grocery store on multiple occasions! Pictured above is just one of the volunteer groups we’ve been able to connect with Pastor White. Last holiday season, For-Word Christian Center planned to serve the children of their community. Through our Thanksgiving outreach, they were able to serve the children and entire families throughout their community. The resources from CSM have allowed Pastor White to broaden his ministry reach, “getting the opportunity to feed more people the word of God.” Pastor White claims his relationship with Tracy and other pastors throughout Birmingham “has taken his prayer life and studying to another level… you can not feed hungry souls if you have nothing to give them.” The Lord is doing amazing things at For-Word Christian Center, and we are excited to see God continue to edify the city of Birmingham through His Church!
