Faith Chapel has consistently volunteered with CSM for many years, first starting in 2011 when the tornadoes destroyed many communities in Alabama. And most recently, during Covid-19, Faith Chapel has been consistent with sending volunteers weekly to help meet the great need of those impacted by this devastating pandemic.
David Curry, a staff member of Faith Chapel and regular volunteer, stated that the church chooses to volunteer with CSM because of the shared mission to live out God’s Word. Faith Chapel is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and God’s love with others. Mr. Curry said CSM allows Faith Chapel to serve God in a way that also gives back to the Birmingham community.
During this time of uncertainty and hardship, Mr. Curry said that Faith Chapel wants to continue to have a servant’s heart to those in need. “It is easy to focus on your struggles and forget to serve others. The group feels it is vital to help people in need and spread God’s love to those as well. It has been amazing to watch CSM continue to serve through COVID-19,” said Mr. Curry. He also loves that CSM impacts a variety of areas and locations.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. We could not carry out our mission without volunteers like Faith Chapel. Faith Chapel comes willing to serve in whatever way is needed and puts in hard work to help with our projects. We are so thankful for their commitment to CSM and the passion they have for serving.
